Frequently Asked Questions
-
Do I have to wear a mask?
Yes! We practice community care in the act of requiring masks at all our in-person events. Feel free to bring your own mask, otherwise KN95s will be provided.
-
Can I bring my kids to your event?
Yes! We invite folks of all ages to attend our events. Some of our events are more social (pop-up markets, benefit shows, art nights, etc), others are more discussion-based (community gatherings, BIPOC abolitionist convergence, skillshares). While we don't provide childcare, we welcome the participation of you and your child!
-
Why are you not a 501(c)(3)?
Our collective is uninterested in engaging in the politics of what it means to be a nonprofit organization. We are a deeply political entity and we do not want to be beholdened to the state's restrictions around what we can and cannot say or do, or be limited by the authority of a Board of Directors.
-
How can I or my organizing team collaborate with you?
Reach out to us via email at thehealingunderground@proton.me with details of your proposal. If we have the capacity and there's values-alignment, we'd be delighted to collaborate!
-
Should I bring anything to your events?
Bring a mask, and depending on the event, it may be helpful to show up with a notebook and pen. Otherwise, we'll provide everything you may need!
