Healing Affinity to Action Cohort


The Healing Affinity to Action Cohort is a closed, free cohort for people looking to deepen organizing skills surrounding navigating collective trauma through somatic practice, relationship building, and direct action tactics.

This cohort will be made up of two groups: one BIPOC (cap: 15) and one white (cap: 10).

Info + Structure:

  • 3 meetings per month for 2 months

  • 2 hr long sessions, indoor + outdoor, masks required at all

  • participants must be able to communicate regularly through email

Session topics:

  1. Introduction + relationship-building

  2. Healing justice practices with the self

  3. Healing justice practices with the community

  4. Strategic action frameworks

  5. Structures, logistics, and safety

  6. Celebration + feedback

Who we are looking for:

  • people who already understand PIC/MIC abolition & Black liberation frameworks

  • folks looking for deeper organizing spaces that emphasize relational power

  • people who are dedicated to community organizing already

  • folks looking to connect with other values-aligned abolitionists + accomplices

  • people who desire space to practice methods for individual + collective healing

  • folks who want to learn how to work through trauma responses in the body
